Two fishing vessels aground near Port Ludlow

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard received a report of two fishing vessels aground in the vicinity of Port Ludlow, Wash., today.

Both vessels were spotted this morning approximately one hour before low tide by a Coast Guard Auxiliary pilot while on patrol.  Initial reports show that both groundings are unrelated.

One of the fishing vessels, Oakland Pilot, is reported to have 350-gallons of diesel fuel oil onboard.

There are no current reports of marine environmental pollution or injuries to any passengers. Coast Guard investigators are en route to determine the extent of damages to the vessels and surrounding areas.
